Whitney Bailey
Whitney Bailey has been playing and coaching volleyball for over 20 years. She got her start playing at Martin County High School and she went on to play in college at Palm Beach Atlantic University. As a defensive specialist in college, she totaled over 1,200 defense digs at PBAU playing career while amassing almost 150 career service aces. Bailey graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in International Business and a Master’s degree in Business Administration. Before coaching the Falcons, Bailey established a successful career in higher education and K-12 athletic administration, serving various roles including athletic director, senior women’s administrator and advancement. Before moving into Athletic Administration Bailey served as the top assistant coach for the PBAU Sailfish Volleyball Program under Hall-of-Fame Coach Bob White. Bailey was responsible for program operations, recruiting, and on-court coaching. Before joining the Sailfish she served as a head coach for Palm Beach Juniors and Treasure Coast Volleyball Clubs and as an assistant coach at Martin County High School, winning the school’s 2nd State Championship title in 2009, with Coach Marty Bielicki. Today, Bailey privately trains volleyball student-athletes under her own company, Florida Select Athletics. She has been working with the YMCA to re-establish a recreational volleyball program, where all 3 of her children participate. She is married to Ben Bailey, and the couple are proud parents of Beau, Emmalyn, and Magnolia.
